Other names for it are “every day” and “normal” strollers, they are designed for the day to day activities of the parents like shopping and taking walks around the city.
They usually have storage space beneath the baby’s seat, locking wheels, and sun shades.
Some models can be modified where you can change the direction of the seat or get the ability to add another seat.
However, having such space for modifications comes with the increased difficulty in folding and storing of the stroller as it becomes bulkier and more substantial.
Umbrella Strollers
They’re also known as lightweight stroller due to their reduced space that allows it to feel like a feather compared to standard strollers.
Umbrella strollers have perfect mobility while strolling down crowded streets and narrow doorways, they’re really easy to put in and outside your car.
Moreover, they can easily be carried into buses or metros.
If you love traveling, umbrella strollers are the perfect choice for you due to their lightweight and the ability to fold them with ease. On top of that, they prevent rigid interactions with your environment.
But to allow for the high mobility and extra lightweight, umbrella strollers are usually stripped from most of the features you will find in standard strollers.
Also, the padding is not on par with standard strollers, so usually it is not ideal for extra long walks or any rough terrain.
That’s why they’re more suitable for older children and not as comfortable for infants.
Jogging Strollers
If you’re going for a jog in the morning, you don’t have to get a nanny or a friend to watch your baby for you.
Jogging strollers present parents with the ability to take their babies with them on their jogs.
The definitive feature of the jogging stroller is its three wheel design with the larger wheel on the front of the stroller.
Moreover, you get the option of either locking it to be more stable and allow more comfort for the baby or to swivel to allow for faster turns.
Jogging strollers have sturdy frames to provide protection for the baby and prevent any bumpiness.
That same features make them less mobile outside jogging tracks and consequently not as suitable for crowded areas.
However, they tend to be a little more expensive than other options.
If you have a baby, they wouldn’t be as suitable as they would be for older toddlers.

On the other hand, you can get a sit and stand double stroller for one child and give them the freedom to either lie in the seat or hang around the rear bench.
And although this would provide a lot of flexibility to your child, it may force you to compromise some mobility due to the bigger size or heavier weight.
Travel System Strollers
These usually come as a set including an infant car seat and a stroller on which the seat can be attached.
The advantage of this type is that the stroller can remain for a long time while you change the seat according to your baby’s growth.
Moreover, they allow you to move your child into and out of the car without waking them up.
